So....you joined a guild, took a dislike to someone who, I'm guessing, had been in the guild for a long time, and began complaining.

And its happened 15 times in 6 months.

If it is a guild that has been around a while and people in it know each other and are friends, you can't go in and start complaining about people. Each guild has its own culture, either you fit in it or not. The guild can't change to suit you. You have to find one that you fit in.

Its hard to tell from what you said if the problem is you or them.

I think the problem is you.

And to add to it, I'll do to you what I do to every member who complains about something.

And I think almost every guild officer/leader is the same way. I certainly don't want to get on the bad side of my guild leader, for he tears people like you apart....If I leave my guild, I will leave myself, not be kicked for there is a core group in my guild that have played together for a long time and they don't take any shit. Plain and simple. So....I think you will always run into this problem, unless you make your own guild. GL..

95% of the GW population is [insert negative adjective here]

Thus, most people complaining about something complain about something stupid.

I have a lot of clue what's going on.

If someone gets kicked from 15 guilds because officers are idiots - there is only one conclusion.

Common etiquette:
- One never says shut up to anyone. If someone is causing trouble on chat, first discover whether that really is trouble, or just the way the guild is. Telling someone to shut up is incredibly rude and hostile action in real world, one that only those in power may use.

- Some people are not team players. They'll get annoyed over minor things. Doesn't make them bad, evil or immature. They just can't be part of guilds or other teams. This is a simple fact of life one encounters daily.

- Guilds are larger than one person. Joining one means joining their way of doing things, their culture, past, ties, cliques. Coming in as smart-ass outsider won't end well. It may however quickly change if you prove you can handle yourself and might even get promoted to officer

- Officers are there to keep the guild running. If someone gets kicked, there might be a good reason for it. But whichever way. If they are really that bad, the guild will fall apart. Or only the members that are cool with officer's behavior will remain. Neither of those is bad.

- If leader supports the officer - then the member is at fault. This is the lesson everyone learns sooner or later. Don't fight the people above you. It's obvious who will lose.

But 15 guilds is a bit much. Way too much. It's quite easy to see what the guild is like during recruitment stage. I assume there was no recruitment stage?

Were these the guilds of 500+ members? If so, no comment... Members there are numbers. You either go with the flow, or you're out.

Hey join NATO! We're not as active as most. But we could use more folk around who know what they're doing. ;-)

But, no, i've never been in such a situation. Only in my CS days have I ever been in a clan, or guild if you were.

15 guilds over 2+ years may not be much, but six months?

Six months (half a year) is around 183 days. 15 guilds in 183 days means he's hopping about once every 12 days. 12 days Now, I understand every once in awhile a guild is a bad fit for various reasons but c'mon.

@op, while officers and leaders do throw their power around sometimes, when a thing happens this often in this short amount of time....you need to look at yourself as the culpable party I think. Yes, people can get testy. When you are the new guy in any social situation, you are gonna hit a wall when you're perceived as rude or disrespectful to the people who've been there.

I'd kick anyone who started talking up to me as well.

I also immediately kick anyone who asks to be an officer (unless the leader tells me to let them stay).

Twelve days, on average, is plenty enough to "try" out a guild, as the OP said he's having troubles finding a guild for whatever reasons, it sounds reasonable to me.

Never faced such an officer, and I've been in 7 guilds over 2 years and a half.

However, as an officer (and even if I wasn't) I don't take crap from anyone, and you bet our other officers don't as well. If you give us a bad first impression, you're on the bad start... if it doesn't change, people leave on their own for not getting their way, or get kicked for being annoying (our last kick was a guy who was pretty cool with us at first, but he ended up being really rude by raging and whatnot).

So ask questions and if it suits ya, go with the flow. If you're on the core member's bad side, bad start.

Some of you should rethink your ban-happy tendencies.

By "crap" do you mean to include suggestions like "dude, you need to chill" or rude comments like "STFU you **** sh*t"? If it's the latter sure, the player is a boot but if you kick players just because they are "giving you crap"(the first one) then: good luck enjoying your stay at playing GW my friend.

But yeah.// I left 2 guilds just because the guild leader doesn't care about the issue, since he is the only one who can do something about it. And I'm not gonna get bosses over by one particular officer who thinks he is Oh-So-Mightier than the rest of the members. (and I hate rude people too )

The guild i was in i think in early May had great officers. I was a member and worked my way up to being an officer. Later down the road, when it was time to promote a couple of new officers, we would recommend members who would be great officers. Me and a few other officers recommended a couple of people and in all actualality they were all mistakes. For some reason it is in human nature, not everyone but most, that when a person gets into a situation of power they lose sight on where they came from and gather a whole nother personality. A personality like they are better than everyone else or they become totally strict jerks. This happens in real life work places as well. There is usually one or two bad officers in every guild.

But being kicked many many times by different guilds over an over, sounds like a personal problem though.

i think ive been switching guild about this much recently. they all seem pretty terrible, but the problem i run into is not the officers being jerks, but having no idead how to play guild wars. the last guild i left after getting into an argument in guild chat with 3 officers and 5-6 members about why tanks are bad. those arent the kind of people i want in my guild, I want people who know how to play.
